Welcome to the home page of INLA WG3, the International Nuclear Law Association’s Working Group on International Nuclear Trade and New Build. INLA WG3 is an active international group of lawyers drawn from industry, academia and private practice with an interest in sharing views and experiences on all aspects of international and domestic law and regulation relating to the peaceful uses of nuclear energy and, in particular, the creation of the “new legal infrastructures” that will be needed to accommodate the current global trend toward increased nuclear power generation.

WG3′s remit is to work with other INLA Working Groups on topics such as NPP licencing and permitting, international nuclear transport and liability and insurance. But its particular focus is on those areas of law and practice which are becoming ever more part of the repertoire of today’s nuclear lawyer – bidding and procurement regulation, commercial and construction contracting, anti-trust and State Aid, international infrastructure financing and investment, electricity supply and pricing controls and contracts and new public access to justice and information rights.

This home-site contains details of WG3′s current members, links to relevant IAEA and NEA publications, papers and discussion pieces posted by our members and a regularly up-dated section providing “breaking news” in the nuclear new build sector.

Membership of WG3 to open to all who are members of INLA. If you are interested in knowing more about this Working Group and its unique network of lawyers, or you are thinking of joining us, please contact our Chair, Paul Bowden, at paul.bowden@freshfields.com or call him on + 44 207 832 7273.
